Hi Amy! Always look forward to what you have to share. I took get anxious hosting gatherings but like most things, it's getting easier with practice. Thanks for always sharing real things and great product reviews.
The reason I am hesitant to host anything is I’m so worried that no one will come. Even for work events I plan I get really anxious about attendance. 😬. Like it’s my greatest fear to host a party and have no one show up.
If you haven’t yet read it, I recommend Four Thousand Weeks by Oliver Burkeman. It’s an anti-productivity book that’s designed to help us feel okay about doing less.
Hi Amy! I’m so glad you discovered Kendra, The Lazy Genius. I’ve been following her for years and have her books. She’s doles out great tips and tricks along with a dose of encouragement. And if you like Shawarma, her recipe is the bomb!
I continue to be a fan and supporter! Thanks for all the great product ideas and your honesty about all the crap in the world. You are a much-needed breath of fresh air. Xoxo, Lisa B.
Hi from a fellow curly hair girl - I swear the weather plays a big part in how my hair curls. I’m in the PNW and we’ve been experiencing below freezing temps and snow, but by the weekend we’ll be in the 50s. My hair is a mess!
Hi Amy! I'm also an Amy and happen to be a public school teacher. I found you via your Joy the Baker Sunday posts. I appreciate your vulnerability in everything you write. You are not alone!
I went to college in northern Arizona, and Vegas was weirdly close that I frequently took weekend roadtrips with friends. My recommendation is The Bagel Cafe with the caveat that you have to get the fruit plate. 😂 Google the photos—it is sooooo good. And get a sweet treat from the deli!
Also, Ice Bar in the Linq Promenade has a walk up bar with a non-alcoholic slushee drink thing in a yardstick that is ridiculous and delicious.
My favorite restaurant in Vegas is Joe's Stone Crab--especially great if you love crab. For breakfast, Brandon just took me to Eggslut (terrible name). It is in The Cosmopolitan. It is a walk up and order sort of place, but their egg sandwiches are delicious and the line of 50 people weren't wrong!
I have a lulu gift card from Christmas. Thanks for the pullover rec.
Great roundup. Thanks for sharing!
Love these newsletters and your thoughts and recommendations. Enjoy Las Vegas!!
Have the best time traveling! I was eyeing those Pact airplane sets too 👀

Oooh that Vacation perfume sounds like the exact scent I’ve been looking for every summer the last few years!
My big having people over fear is that my house is even messier than I think it is and that it smells like litterbox 😅

Everything you post brings me joy, so if you want to publish your thoughts of this burning world, please do!

lol…. Is… you…. Me….?: “I worry people will be bored or hate my house or my food will be gross.”
Also LOVE Lazy Genius! (Also very “meh” on the name.) The podcast is so good - I think she’s best in podcast form!
