I just turned 40 and was also anxious all through being 39. I've had a pretty good month since my birthday, largely because I spent it with friends. But I am also single and childless (not child-free- I want kids a lot, and froze my eggs a few years ago) and am having a very hard time with that. I want to find love so much but dating is absolute hell.
Dating is...so much. I hope that you get to experience everything that you want. The pain of not getting to be a mother when you want it so desperately sounds agonizing, and I hope that it happens for you in exactly the right way.

I’m 61, and I can truly say you CAN let go of the bullshit and focus on what brings you joy, BUT it takes work. I think realizing that you want to is more than half the battle. You’ve got this.
