I’ve read that you can have a character recount a “flashback ” event in conversation with another character. Because then you can do interesting things with what they tell or don’t tell about what happened and what they’re thinking internally while they’re telling. (I think that was from Rebecca Malakai’s class, which was awesome).
When the interviewer asks inane questions like that, it always reminds me of Dr. Drew on Loveline. No matter what the caller said, he WITHOUT FAIL would answer, "When did you father hit/touch you?" EVERY TIME.
I truly grew up believing everyone has a Bad Dad but me. That man! Also I wish I could inject the feeling of listening to Loveline in secret as a young kid into my veins.
